The Kargbo Family

My husband, Jeff, and I visited my home in 2013 when this picture was taken. Unfortunately, my mom wasn’t in it because she didn’t like saying goodbye. And my older sister, Fatmata was home with her, as well. In Sierra Leone, if you posed for a photo, smiling wasn’t encouraged. Pictures were a serious business. But, they were a little sad that I was leaving again.
