June Words of Inspiration
Hello family, friends, and loved ones,
Welcome to my June blog! I hope this message finds you all safe, sound, and soaking up the sunshine—wherever you may be. Here in the Midwest, we’re still playing the classic game of “guess the weather,” with cloudy, rainy days making frequent appearances.
Just last weekend, my family and I were at a track meet in Topeka, Kansas, cheering on our girls in the high jump. And then—BAM! A sudden downpour. Armed with our tiny umbrella, we bravely attempted to stay dry. Let’s just say it was a losing battle. Soaked to the bone, we watched as the sun peeked through the clouds once more.
My husband, in a stroke of genius (or perhaps desperation), took off his shoes and socks and laid them on the bleachers to dry. The girls were mortified, exclaiming, “Dad, put your shoes back on—this is embarrassing!”
Despite the soggy circumstances, we managed to make some unforgettable memories that day. So, I encourage you all to seize every opportunity to create your own fun moments—even if it means embarrassing your kids a little (or a lot)!
I pray that this month brings you joy, blessings, and plenty of laughter. I am also incredibly thankful for the outpouring of support for my book. Thank you all for buying it and for sharing it with your friends and family. I am truly grateful.
